Website Design for Expressive Therapy SA

I designed this unique, colourful website for Paula, an expressive therapist who works with children.

The design needed to have colour and life – because Paula’s practice is based around children and art therapy. But at the same time it needed to have a clean, professional look that aligns with Paula’s background as a highly qualified, experienced therapist. The third request was that it was warm and friendly enough to appeal to its target audience of parents and educators.

I struck this balance by designing a colour palette that is bright but not jarring, and choosing bright photographs to provide some pops of colour and fun. The circluar images and feature text break out of the grid slightly to add an arty touch. And rather than a stark white I used a cream colour for the background to keep things warm and friendly.
