Logo Design for Save Our Mates

This logo design for Anthony Hart at Save Our Mates was a very special project for us, in more ways than one.

Save Our Mates is an organisation that works to prevent men’s suicide, holding regular men-only ‘Chew The Fat’ nights in the community, developing tools for better mind health, and providing support to men from all walks of life. So not only were we really pleased with the finished work, it was also wonderful to help support a cause that is close to both our hearts.

When creating this branding I took inspiration from the lifebuoy – but I also thought a lot about the Anzac Legend of mateship. I have made a nod to this with my use of the rising sun motif, and the vintage-modern feel of the type.

I also chose colours carefully for their symbolism. Blue for masculinity and strength. Yellow for hope and for friendship.
