Carnival X Road Album Art

Cover design for “The Rain” by Adelaide Hills hip hop act Carnival X Road.

I was give a photo taken by rapper Mark and asked to incorporate it into the artwork. Inspired by the lyrics, I chose to make the tunnel the main focus, using Photoshop to enhance the contrast between the tunnel interior and the brightness on either side. Carefully chosen typography and a lot of noise give this an awesomely grungey, slightly retro feel.
