Powdermonkey Design is a boutique graphic design studio based in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. It’s run by me, Demelza. Nice to meet you!
I am involved in a long-term love affair with graphic design. It’s something that has been with me since I was a kid. But now I take that passion and use it to create complete branding solutions for my clients, from logos to website to social media graphics.
A great brand is beautiful, adaptable and unique. It should give its owner that boost of confidence, and let their customers know that they are in great hands. This is my goal.
But Powdermonkey is not just about branding. I can design just about anything. It’s true. Not just digital bits and bobs like websites and animation, but I am also a ninja when it comes to old-school print work.
Sure, part of it is about being able to design. But it is also about knowing how to get things done. Understanding how to deliver a successful finished project, on time and on budget.
I also love being part of the team. The best branding projects are collabs between designer and client. Because you know your business better than anyone. And I know design.
In a nutshell, I make your brand look awesome, so you sell more stuff.
I’m a creative type, sure, but I am also a people-person and top-notch problem solver.
That means I don’t just make things look pretty (although I definitely do that). I find out what you need the work to achieve for you, and the best way to get you there.

- Need something a bit different? We can provide an estimate for any website project, big or small.
- Website migrations involving existing email accounts or more complex setups may incur an extra charge, which will be quoted on and agreed to in advance.
- Sites including large photo galleries, custom icons, pricelists or menus, complex forms, complex migration, or extra functionality, integrations or plugins may incur an extra cost.
- Our Hosting Pack includes email hosting, and setup and testing of up to 2 email accounts. Links to access your email via webmail will be provided, along with configuration details should you wish to use an email app to access the email account/s. Set up of email apps will be the responsibility of the client.

how does the process work?
about me
It’s been over 25 years since I first stepped out of TAFE and into a studio for my first paid gig. Since then I have worked for ad agencies, print houses and in-house for various companies, big and small. For a while I taught graphic design at nights, back at my old TAFE.
In 2012 I opened my own studio, Powdermonkey Design.
When I say ‘studio’, of course I mean me, with a laptop, at my kitchen table.
It’s this passion for graphic design, years of print and web design know-how and my experience running a micro-business that lie at the heart of what I do – using design to help my clients build their businesses.
